I would like to use numbers which are selected more frequently than others in making my predictions.

If numbers have not been drawn in a while, the law of averages indicates they are more likely to be drawn. I'll go with those when predicting.

How often a number is selected is more important than whether or not it's "due."

Games of Chance

Are ping pong ball style lotteries, like PowerBall, simply games of chance? Mathematicians say “… yes, they are simply random drawings; they are unpredictable! There is no way to predict winning PowerBall numbers.”
Please then explain to me why, in the last 140 PowerBall drawings (as I write this) number 52 has appeared 22 times and number 33 has appeared only five times. That means 52 was drawn four times more often. Where is the randomness factor there??

How can this be?

Consider the lottery balls popping through the tubes as they are drawn. Wouldn’t you say there is a slight difference in the weight and the shape of each ball? Of course there are slight variations like that. Like snowflakes, the balls in the lotteries are not alike.

Folks, the shape and weight of the balls go a long way to explaining why 52 appeared four times more often than 33, despite mathematicians saying those results are improbable or almost impossible. It is not random – there is a pattern to the most common PowerBall numbers.

Also, if the drawings are truly random, shouldn’t there be an almost regular time interval between the selections of each white ball? In a universe where lottery drawings are totally random, that would be true. Instead, in looking at the last 140 drawings, 52 appeared 8 drawings ago, but it also appeared 9 drawings ago, 10 drawings ago and 11 drawings ago. What would the math department say about that? It’s safe to say that lotteries like PowerBall and Megamillions are INTENDED to be random. Any PowerBall number generator would work the same if randomness applied to the PowerBall game. But the numbers I have shown you prove they are not. Many PowerBall lottery winners would tell you that was their secret.

My apologies to the mathematicians. Sorry to prove you wrong…

Does this imply that lotteries are predictable?

I would give you a qualified “yes.” If I were asked which number would I include in a game, either the frequently appearing 52, or the rarely appearing 33, I would say they odds are 52 would continue to be drawn more often. I cannot say this with any absolute certainty, but the numbers simply indicate there is a greater chance 52 will continue to appear more than 33. I would select the balls from the most frequent PowerBall numbers. That, to me, is how to win PowerBall.

So how can you make use of this information as you attempt to be the next PowerBall winner?

You can consult Internet sites – like PowerBall lotto – that offer lottery frequency tables. Now that would require a lot of your time and effort to make selections.

One company has made an easy number predictor that has built-in frequency tables. You respond to a few multiple choice questions and their easy “Wizard” uses the tables to generate number predictions for you. If you want to give that a try (it’s easier than juggling numbers and lists) visit PowerBallPros.com

Hmmm. Maybe it’s just not by chance that you read this article…
